Requirements for all scholarship
recipients:
All scholarship recipients are required to cooperate with the Scholarship
committee to promote the PUSH-Excel’s scholarship program, specifically
by writing a thank-you note to a donor. Recipients also may be asked
to participate in other public relations activities for PUSH-Excel.
Recipients of these awards are required to participate in the Annual
National Conference scholarship gala and Education Leadership Conference
for each year of their financial award. Unless specified by funder,
scholarships are not necessarily renewable and are only applicable to
one school year.
If I am renewing my scholarship what is the Criteria?
In order to qualify for renewal of the Ora Lee Sanders scholarship, students must earn a grade point average of at least 2.5; renewal of the Cirilo McSween New York Life scholarship requires at least a 3.0. Upon such earning, students may become eligible for a one-year scholarship of $1,000 (Ora Lee Sanders) or $2,500 (Cirilo McSween New York Life). All scholarship recipients are required to cooperate with the Scholarship committee to promote the PUSH-Excel’s scholarship program by participating in various public relations activities for PUSH-Excel. Additionally, recipients of these rewards are required to participate in the Annual National Conference scholarship gala and Education Leadership Conference.
Will my application be considered without grade transcripts
or college acceptance letters?
No. All applications must be accompanied with grade transcripts, SAT/ACT
scores and or college acceptance letters. Applications without these
documents will be considered as incomplete. Please submit grade transcripts, SAT/ACT scores and or college acceptance letters to PUSH Excel by April 30, 2008.
